Manchester City Complete Signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt

Manchester City have officially announced the signing of Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 25-year-old joins on a four-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at the Etihad until 2029.

Marmoush has had a sensational season with Frankfurt, scoring 15 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches and adding to his tally with a total of 20 goals and 14 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions. He becomes City’s third January signing following Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.
In his first statement as a City player, Marmoush expressed excitement about joining one of the world’s top clubs. “Manchester City is a dream destination. With Pep Guardiola’s guidance and world-class facilities, I’m ready to take my game to the next level and contribute to this winning team.”

Marmoush, known for his versatility, can operate across the front line but feels most at home in the No. 10 role. His strengths include pace, creativity, and an eye for goal, making him a dangerous asset on the pitch.
City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, praised Marmoush’s qualities, highlighting his “outstanding pace, awareness, and exceptional finishing ability.” The club believes that Marmoush’s best years lie ahead, and working under Guardiola will help unlock his full potential.
Having emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers, Marmoush’s rise has been remarkable. From humble beginnings in Egypt to stints with Wolfsburg, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt, he has developed into an elite forward capable of competing at the highest level.
Marmoush joins Manchester City with the ambition to win trophies and continue his upward trajectory in European football.
