Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal capped off an extraordinary 2024 with a hat trick of prestigious individual awards. Despite being sidelined with an ankle injury until early 2025, the 17-year-old has enjoyed a standout year for both club and country.

After winning the Kopa Trophy and Golden Boy awards earlier this year, Yamal added the Best Young Talent Award at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony in Dubai.
During the event, the young star expressed gratitude to those who played key roles in his meteoric rise to Barcelona’s first team. He acknowledged former coach Xavi Hernandez, who entrusted him with a larger role last season, and current manager Hansi Flick, who has continued to nurture his development.
Yamal, regarded as one of the most promising young talents in world football, also thanked Luis de la Fuente and the Spanish national team, with whom he celebrated a European Championship victory during the summer.
“I want to thank Barça and the Spanish national team for an incredible year. Special thanks to my coaches—Xavi, Flick, and Luis de la Fuente—for believing in me,” Yamal said, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona remains optimistic about his recovery and hopes to have him fit for their upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup in early 2025.
