Bayern Munich Confirms Hamstring Injury for Alphonso Davies, Adding to Injury Woes

Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies faces another stint on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury during Wednesday’s 3-0 Champions League loss to Feyenoord. The Bundesliga giants confirmed the news following a medical scan conducted by their team staff.
The Canadian international, who had only recently returned from a thigh injury that kept him out last month, suffered the setback late in the first half of the match.
“Alphonso Davies sustained a muscle strain in his left hamstring during the Champions League match against Feyenoord. This was confirmed by a scan conducted by FC Bayern’s medical staff,” the club said in an official statement. However, no timeline has been provided for the 24-year-old’s return to action.
Davies’ injury adds to Bayern Munich’s growing list of sidelined players. Midfielder João Palhinha remains out with an abductor muscle injury sustained in November, while goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is recovering from a kidney contusion. Meanwhile, defender Sacha Boey has yet to make his comeback following a ligament injury last month.
Despite these setbacks, Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich are preparing for their next league match against Freiburg this Saturday as they aim to maintain their position at the top of the table.
