Carlo Ancelotti Declares Kylian Mbappé as the ‘Best Striker in the World’ After Stellar Performance Against Las Palmas

Carlo Ancelotti praised Kylian Mbappé’s exceptional display during Real Madrid’s commanding 4-1 victory over Las Palmas, a win that propelled Los Blancos to the top of the LaLiga table.

Despite an early shock when Fabio Silva scored within 28 seconds—marking one of the fastest goals Madrid has conceded in LaLiga since 2011—Mbappé quickly restored momentum. The French star equalized from the penalty spot after Rodrygo was fouled and then scored a second goal just minutes after Brahim Diaz put Madrid ahead. Rodrygo rounded off the scoring in the second half.

Ancelotti highlighted Mbappé’s remarkable contributions, noting his 12 touches in the opposition box and five chances created—both team highs. With this performance, Mbappé surpassed 300 career club goals, having netted 18 for Real Madrid, 27 for Monaco, and 256 for PSG.

“Kylian is the best centre forward in the world, and there should be no doubt about his ability in this position,” Ancelotti said in the post-match press conference. “He thrives in the center, where his speed and technical skill shine.”

The victory came at a crucial time for Real Madrid, following a challenging week that included a 5-2 Supercopa de España final loss to Barcelona and a hard-fought Copa del Rey win over Celta Vigo.

Ancelotti acknowledged the criticism from fans after the recent defeats but emphasized the team’s resilience. “The booing at the Santiago Bernabéu hurts, but it motivates us,” he said. “This win was a strong response, and here we are, leading LaLiga again. Football is unpredictable, but this was a positive performance.”
